When most people think of University Hills, in Denver, the first thing that comes to mind is the many new homes that have been built over scrape-offs just north of Hampden Avenue and hugging Colorado Boulevard’s East flank. I have had several dinners and awards banquets at the Restaurant and can recommend it highly! Although my golf skills keep me from providing an accurate assessment of the course—I understand it is a quality course and an easy mid-day escape….

Beau Jo’s Pizza, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Einsten Bros. Bagels, Schlotzsky’s, Souper Salad, Starbucks Coffee.

May I ask what the medium price range for a house here is, not for any particular reason other than to compare that to houses over here in Australia. I must say O really love that staircase, it’s a real beauty.

Great question Sire. In Sloans Lake, in West Denver values have been holding up better than elsewhere in Denver– during a rough time for property values. The median estimated home value right now in zip code 80212 (where Sloan’s Lake is) is $252,424 as compared to Denver as a whole’s median of $197,859. Although Denver’s median value estimate has dropped more than 5% in the last 12 months, Sloans Lake has only dropped about 1%…
By the way, the staircase picture I took while showing a home in Evergreen, CO in an +/-$800,000 home– on my i-phone!
That’s picture was pretty impressive. I didn’t think it would take long for iPhone to include a camera, as I believe the original was lacking one.
I was reading in the paper how our prices in Sth. Australia is holding up better than the rest of the country, but I assume that is because our prices were cheaper to start with which encourages investors from interstate to dabble in our real estate.
