To Organic or not to Organic

What would you do?

Granted, this post isn’t really about Denver Real Estate. Not at all.  I just happened to be shopping for a lemon the other day to  help my wife make a slow-roasted chicken and capers recipe.  I really wanted to reduce my carbon foot print and help save the world by buying anLemons organic lemon.  But it just didn’t work out.  The organic lemon and the evil, scientifically enhanced fruit were too close together for anyone not to notice the difference.  I’m sure the other shoppers were looking at me silly as I lined up these two fruits and pointed my iPhone at them.  I think I might have seen the Conifer, Safeway security council scrambling as I clicked off a few shots—but I am always willing to risk life and limb to share a valuable story!

Maybe I’m just a victim of marketing and don’t realize that the dirty, old, small lemon would actually taste better since it wasn’t sprayed with chemicals or bio-engineered, waxed, painted or whatever lemon farmers do to make the lemons look so good (on the left).  Maybe I’ll never know.  I bought the one on the left and I’Conifer-Sticky-Notell tell you what: Slow Roasted Chicken and Capers is a fine meal.

In case you read this lemon post and it made you want to buy a home in Conifer, Colorado, here’s a link for you.  Just click the sticky-note!
